Fab Phonics has been written to international standards using international methodology yet is completely contextual and relevant.

Phonics is the relationship between phonemes (letter sounds) and graphemes (written letters).

Learning phonics in a specific letter order enables students to move from hearing and saying letter phonemes [level 1] to recognising graphemes and beginning the process of reading words almost immediately [level 2].

Students can then read and comprehend sentences and the purpose for reading is realised. As more phonemes are learnt vocabulary increases and the ability to read develops [level 3 and 4].

As students grasp these skills and concepts they desire to learn more and reading becomes successful and fun.
